Series 3 of Robin Hood (BBC1) was a triumph of plotting innovation. It seemed that each week a different scriptwriting team was called in with no knowledge of what had happened in the previous episode. This meant that each week different characters were allies or enemies, to the bafflement of the casual viewer.
Graduates of the School of Deathless Cliché, the scriptwriters did however manage to work in some unusual plot twists. Marian was dead – to start off with, anyway – and Friar Tuck was a spin doctor. Seemingly having been chosen for their ability to display various expressions of bemusement, the cast struggled through manfully – even that bloke from the lads’ ads. A typical episode consisted of the judicious application of l’Oréal followed by an attack on the hapless villagers of Locksley (a settlement seemingly located somewhere in Helmand province); and then, to conclude, everybody would stand back while the Sheriff of Nottingham (Keith Allen) ate the scenery.

That is funny. You are a good writer, I should add tv commentary to your list of talents!
