Nacro blog

August 27, 2009

I’m managing an online campaign and publicity for a new website for Nacro, the crime reduction charity, launching in Autumn 2009.

I’m doing this by means of a blog about the stories of the people that Nacro helps.

A communications team including a journalist and a videographer are contributing their thoughts and impressions as they go on a nationwide tour of Nacro’s projects. The idea is to give them, and a web audience, an understanding of why people get into trouble and crime, to find out more about them as people and to document what Nacro is doing to change their lives.

Nacro aims to raise its profile and attract a new social media audience who might be interested in working with it either as a volunteer, an employee or a partner organisation and who may have no previous knowledge of its work.

Visit the blog at meetnacro.tumblr.com. It is also linked to Twitter and Facebook.

‘Follow our team as we uncover the truth about people in trouble in the UK today. Over the next two months, we’ll be sharing our experiences about the stories of real people, exclusion, crime and how Nacro helps people to change.’
