Love the FT’s 3D logo today. Try it out for yourself here. It’s an example of augmented reality, which you can bring to life yourself with the aid of a webcam … and a copy of the FT. I knew there was a reason why we still need printed newspapers. Is that Che Guevara poking his head out of the edge there?
The FT’s story about what has happened to traditional advertising describes how the recession is only one reason for the parlous state the industry finds itself in now. It just hasn’t been able to keep abreast of consumers’ uptake of digital media.
As this graphic demonstrates clearly. It’s exhausting just looking at it. I think I need a cup of tea and a lie down.
